Introdução: Os trabalhadores de saúde na linha de frente durante o surto de COVID-19 enfrentam vários riscos de infecção. A percepção de risco pode indicar a conscientização dos profissionais sobre os perigos potenciais. Objetivo: Analisar a percepção dos riscos e dos danos ocupacionais dos profissionais de enfermagem em hospitais do Rio Grande do Sul durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Metodologia: Estudo multicêntrico, transversal envolvendo 470 profissionais de enfermagem em unidades de COVID-19, que responderam a um questionário online. Resultados: Um total de 359 participantes respondeu, com idade média de 35,99 anos e predominância de mulheres (84,1%). Quase todos perceberam risco (98,6%) e perigos ocupacionais (95,8%) durante a pandemia. Os riscos mais citados foram infecção por COVID-19 (97,5%) e danos psicológicos (92,2%). A dor musculoesquelética foi o dano mais frequente (81,1%). Encontrou-se uma associação significativa entre a percepção de riscos psicossociais e os perigos percebidos (p < 0,001). Conclusão: É crucial investigar e analisar esses fenômenos para comunicar os riscos de forma eficaz e desenvolver planos de melhoria e intervenção. Isso é essencial para evitar que os profissionais de enfermagem sejam expostos a riscos que possam deteriorar sua qualidade de vida ou causar danos à saúde.
