Los comités de ética de investigación científica en Chile: dimensiones morales, normativas y organizacionales

Resumen
El presente trabajo aborda el fenómeno de los comités de ética en las instituciones de investigación científica en Chile a partir de una investigación cualitativa y exploratoria que tuvo como objetivo caracterizarlos desde sus dimensiones morales, normativas y organizacionales. La investigación contempló entrevistas a miembros, usuarios y expertos en el fenómeno. Se pusieron a prueba nueve hipótesis relativas a las tres dimensiones y se analizaron estos resultados desde un enfoque funcional contextual. Se concluye que los comités de ética analizados aplican normas al interior de las organizaciones y que la aplicación de la ética variará dependiendo de la experiencia del comité en cuanto a la demanda de su participación en el análisis de investigaciones y casos, y en cuanto al ámbito científico al cual se circunscriben. El artículo finaliza indicando cuestiones teóricas a considerar como orientaciones para futuras investigaciones.Palabras clave:
